Engage: Serene Special Features

Engage: Serene comes with some special features and custom styles. There are some preset classes with styles included to be used to take your site even further. To take advantage of these features, the user simply needs apply the classes as shown here on these examples.

Random Background Rotation for Each Layout

Engage: Serene comes with the ability to have random rotating backgrounds on refresh. To enable this extra feature, simply add any repeating background image (jpg, gif, or png) to the layout's matching folder under the "backgrounds" folder in the skin file directory. If you prefer a single background over random rotation, simply add only one background. we have included some examples and starter background images with the download to give you some ideas. Photo Border Example

This example uses a span with the class of "photo-border" wrapped around your image. You would simply create a span with class="photo-border" and then your img tag as normal. The style wraps a 1px grey border and shadow around the span, and a 6px white border around the img itself. This is a quick, easy way to make photos stand out and give the appearance of 3-D.

 

Social Media Icons

We have included a free social media icons set created by ElegantThemes with this skin, linked up with corresponding classes! The icon set is great, and matches the looks and fee of Engage: Serene very well, not to mention they are free! This style was designed with the intent of using the icon in the context of  an anchor tag, and are styled with padding all around to be flexible if in a horizontal or vertical list.
